New Place Found: V Tea Room @ Esplanade

Finally managed to get the ruggers to meet up on a Sat 3 weeks ago. Everyone is tied up with one thing or another on each of the days we proposed to meet.

Met JL to watch "cha wu" first before meeting the other 2 cos they couldn't make it for movie. "cha wu" was not as good as I thought it would be. The trailer looked so interesting but when we actually watched the show, thought the show totally didn't make sense. The style was a poor imitation of "Memento". At least Memento has got some logical sequence in its unconventional style. cha wu was just a confusing mix and match of scenes. The trailer said something about "every piece tells a story" and "every clue leads to the next clue" or something like that...but I don't see any of that in the actual movie. wth!

So anyway, after movie, we had a disappointing dinner at Prego. All the pastas we ordered were awful. Only the seafood pasta was so-so. The standard really dropped. Even Creation can do better than them. I will never go back to Prego again.

After dinner, we went to V Tea Room at Esplanade. JL ran into a friend who's working there. V Tea Room has got a very victorian kind of decor. The wallpaper is peach red and has got a very cozy feeling. The drinks were quite interesting too. JL had some drink with Baileys and it was pretty strong. At least we found an interesting place to end the day, after all the disappointments earlier.

As we were walking back, we saw this "Temasek" exhibits along the Esplanade walkway. And this "Temasek" sign was in green - reminded us of TJ, so we couldn't help not taking some pics with it.
