Last Week

Had been drinking quite a bit lately.

Wednesday:
Was supposed to have dinner with Elaine. Last minute we asked Jeremy and Hengky along. Jeremy was on leave and Hengky said he would join us later for drinks. In the end Elaine and I went to join one of her friends, Thomas, and a group of people, for drinks at Red Dot Traffic Building.

Later, Elaine, Thomas and I went for dinner at New Harbour Bar along Tanjong Pagar Road. Had the lamb chop with mint jelly. Was ok but a bit burnt.

While we were there, Hengky asked where we were. He was at Club Street. Decided to meet at Bar None.

Bar None was quite dead when we reached around 10.30pm. So we went over to Indochine at Wisma instead. The band was not very entertaining. After the set, we decided to go back to Bar None to check it out. Was still very dead at close to midnight. And realised Jive Talkin' was not playing there anymore. Now it's Energy that is playing. Didn't find them very good. So we left for Attica at Clarke Quay.

Attica was crowded. We mainly stayed at the court yard and talked and had a few drinks. Elaine wanted to go off at around 2am. I was like saying I need some more drinks to destress. Work had been really quite stressful lately. Sighz...

Thursday:
Lack of sleep. Shuhui's birthday. We went for dinner, together with Issac and their friends. The same friends last year. Once a year I will meet this group of people because of Shuhui's birthday. Seems like it's going to be a yearly affair.

We had seafood at Serangoon, beside the Jackson centre. Can't remember the name of the stall. The chilli crab tasted a bit weird, but the crab was quite fresh. Oh the buns were very nice. We tried the shark head too. It tasted a bit fishy and the meat is like gel. Very different from normal fish.

After that we went KTV at The One KTV at Meritus Mandarin. Last year after her birthday dinner we went KTV too. The One KTV is quite cheap but the place is abit lok kok.

(By the way, Shuhui got her scholarship at A* already. So happy for her!)

Friday:
Went Wala. EIC was playing. They were quite boring that day. Bad choice of songs. Wanted to fall asleep.

Ran into Elwyn. He was with his MAS friends. Among them I saw one of the guys we met at Red Dot on Wednesday. What a coincidence.

This Monday:
Went to Wala again. UnXpected was playing that day. Heard so much about them so must go and check them out. And they are really good. Shirlyn has got such a powerful voice. They are very entertaining. Just like Tabula. Was very enjoyable.
